In an overcrowded corporate energy market, standing out is a challenge. Fortunately, NieuweStroom does not shy away from challenges. The company was already working hard to increase their brand awareness, but lacked the creative hook to really take center stage. It was up to ZUID to develop a brand awareness campaign that grandly introduced NieuweStroom as the energy supplier for SMEs, offering dynamic prices and control over energy costs.

From ambition to result

It all started with a first brand campaign, in which the refreshed brand and the new pay-off were announced to the world. “Become the boss of your energy” became NieuweStroom's new mantra. ZUID created a unique visual language and came up with a concept that SMEs could immediately identify with. This included a matching website with a unique design, intended to become an eye-catching conversion machine. Think extremely user-friendly and completely in line with what NieuweStroom stands for. We created this in Webflow, after which NieuweStroom was able to take control of the website.

Following the success of the first brand campaign, we took a critical look at the concept. With the term “energy boss” being used everywhere, we wanted to give NieuweStroom a more distinctive pay-off. “Take control of your energy” became the brand's new, bold statement. A slogan that places responsibility and power with the entrepreneur and gives NieuweStroom the role it wants: that of an energy guide in a dynamic market. In collaboration with partner Zuiver Media, we advertised along motorways, on the radio, and online. We made traffic measurable in robustly designed HubSpot flows.

In addition, we alternated our focus on specific campaigns for NieuweStroom's 'Zon&Batterij' and CBC products. We built converting landing pages in Webflow and appropriate nurture flows in Hubspot.

Parallel to the campaigns for the B2B brand NieuweStroom, we translated the NieuweStroom brand into a compelling employer brand that clearly reflects its culture. We created the brand's accompanying careers website in Webflow. NieuweStroom has now completely mastered the simple CMS and will be able to continue optimising it themselves in the coming years, thereby continuing to increase conversion.

Beyond the Unexpected

NieuweStroom wanted to increase brand awareness, but together we ultimately created a distinctive brand, effective communication, and scalable websites. The campaigns took the brand from visibility to preferred position, with 41% of the target audience visiting the website for more information. In addition, the NieuweStroom team has the tools to build on the brand identity, employer brand, website, and the careers website that we created.
