Everyone is welcome to work with or at ZUID. But let's be honest: our profession and our team are not yet a prime example of diversity. We cannot solve this with nice words alone.
That is why ZUID is working on an organisation-wide vision and a concrete action plan. Not to tick the boxes, but to make diversity and inclusion truly work for us, our people, and our customers.
With an almost 50-50 gender split in our team, salaries that are in no way adjusted based on gender, ethnicity, age, or religion, and colleagues from South Africa, Ukraine, and Brazil, we are taking steps in the right direction towards diversity.
Furthermore, we are a flat organisation in every sense of the word: our office at no. 12 (where our team spends most of their time) is entirely on one level. We also believe in celebrating on your own terms. Certain national holidays can be exchanged for days off at times that are more meaningful to our colleagues.
Our goal is to be accessible and diverse. Admittedly, we are not yet a perfect example of this. However, we promise to do everything we can to ensure that anyone who does not immediately see themselves reflected in our current team feels completely welcome. This is how we approach it:

Awareness and training. We invest in programs that teach our team what diversity and inclusion really mean and what challenges they entail.
Recruitment. We actively seek out talent from different backgrounds and ensure a broad and fair recruitment process.
Equal opportunities and promotion. All our employees are given equal opportunities, regardless of their origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, etc. We encourage growth and promotion based on competence and performance.
Culture. We're building a workplace where everyone feels heard and valued. We encourage open communication and take the necessary steps to reduce discrimination and prejudice.
Collaboration. We learn from and work with organisations and communities committed to diversity and inclusion, to learn from them and contribute to a more inclusive society.
We're open to ideas and best practices. Do you have any suggestions? Please send a message to annemarieke@zuid.com or mathieu@zuid.com.
