What you’ll be doing at ZUID
You’ll oversee the entire architecture of our projects. Whether these are new high-code projects, legacy applications or bespoke solutions, you’ll identify what needs to be done and, above all, how. You’ll ensure these systems run smoothly and communicate effectively with low-code platforms. You won’t need to work with low-code in detail yourself, but you’ll understand how it relates to your work. You think in terms of solutions rather than rigid categories.
You pick up new developments quickly and with enthusiasm. You work with AI coding assistants on a daily basis. We can mention tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Lovable today, but the technology could be different in two months’ time. The key is that you embrace these new tools without relying on them blindly. You always verify that the generated code is correct, secure and fits within the architecture.
As a Lead Developer, you won’t be sitting in front of your screen all day; you’ll also be joining clients or colleagues at the table. You’ll consult directly with clients on the best approach, propose solutions and implement them. You’ll also review your colleagues’ work and ensure that the implementation meets our technical standards. You’ll deliver work that exceeds expectations and proactively surprise clients with better, user-friendly solutions.
You have
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer, during which you have learnt to think abstractly about system architecture
- Solid knowledge of high-code frameworks, such as Laravel (back-end) and Next.js (front-end)
- An interest in linking your high-code work to our low-code projects
- Found a second home at Vibe Coding. You have experience with AI coding tools and are keen to continually master the latest technologies whilst maintaining a critical eye on them
- Experience in managing legacy applications and building complex bespoke integrations
- The ability to bridge the technical gap between different systems and APIs, integrated with Webflow
- A communicative approach; you interact directly with (international) clients and (international) colleagues and explain solutions clearly
- A good command of English, as you will also be communicating and documenting in English. Fluency in Dutch is an advantage
- A desire to take on a coaching role, review colleagues’ work and work together to take the work to the next level

- You report to your Team Lead
- You hold regular meetings with your Team Lead, Developers, Designers, Project Managers and clients
- You ensure that bespoke solutions, high-code and custom integrations in low-code work seamlessly together
- You review the work within the team in accordance with the four-eyes principle and make adjustments where necessary
- You discuss potential solutions, ideas or opportunities with colleagues
